Privacy Policy — Wall Reaction
Last updated: 1 October 2026 (Firebase services added)
This privacy policy applies to the Wall Reaction mobile
application (“the app”) for Android, package
com.wallreaction.app. Wall Reaction has no sign-up, no passwords and no in-app chat.
1. Information stored on your device
Your settings, level and XP, Sparks balance, puzzle stars, statistics, achievements and your last 15 match replays are stored only on your device using local storage. The developer never receives them. Uninstalling the app or clearing its data deletes them.
2. Advertising (Google AdMob)
The app shows banner, interstitial and optional rewarded ads through Google AdMob. To serve and measure ads, and to prevent fraud, Google may collect and process:
- your device’s advertising ID and other device identifiers;
- approximate location derived from your IP address;
- ad interactions and app diagnostics such as crash data from the ads SDK.
You can reset or delete your advertising ID, or opt out of personalised ads, in your device’s Settings → Google → Ads. See how Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
3. Google Play Games Services (optional)
If you sign in to Google Play Games, the app uses it for achievements, leaderboards and cloud save. Your Play Games profile name, achievement unlocks, leaderboard scores and a copy of your game progress are then handled by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. You can play without signing in.
4. Google Firebase
The app uses these Google Firebase services, provided under the Firebase privacy and security terms:
- Firebase Crashlytics collects crash reports and diagnostics (device model, OS version, app version and the state of the app when it crashed) so bugs can be fixed.
- Google Analytics for Firebase collects usage events, such as matches played, puzzles solved and features used, together with an app-instance identifier, device information and an approximate location derived from your IP address. It is used to understand how the game is played and to improve it.
- Firebase Performance Monitoring measures app start-up time, screen rendering and network request timing.
- Firebase Remote Config fetches game settings, such as ad pacing, so they can be tuned without an update.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging uses a device token to deliver occasional announcements. You can turn notifications off in your device settings.
- Firebase Authentication (anonymous) and the Firebase Realtime Database are used only for online play. Starting online play creates an anonymous account with no email, password or name. The display name you choose, your online rating, your friend code and the moves of your online matches are stored on Firebase and shown to your opponents and on the leaderboard.
A random identifier created on your device links crash reports to analytics sessions. It does not identify you personally. Crash reporting and analytics are turned off in development builds.
5. Google Play in-app updates and reviews
The app uses Google Play’s in-app update and in-app review features to tell you about new versions and occasionally invite a rating. Both are provided by the Google Play Store app, and the developer receives no personal data from them.
6. Local Wi-Fi multiplayer
Local Wi-Fi play connects devices directly over your local network. The player name, colour and token you choose, and the moves of the match, are sent only to the other devices in that room on the same network. Nothing is sent over the internet or to the developer.
7. Notifications
If you turn on the daily reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. No push service is used and no data leaves your device for this.
8. Sharing replays and results
Exported replay GIFs and daily-challenge results are shared only when you choose to, through your device’s share sheet. The app never shares anything on its own.
9. Data retention and deletion
Progress kept on your device is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear its data. Crashlytics keeps crash reports for 90 days, and Google Analytics keeps event data for up to 14 months. To delete your online profile and match history, or any other data linked to your install, contact the developer through the Play Store listing and it will be removed within 30 days.
10. Children’s privacy
The app is not directed at children under 13, and the developer does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Ad requests are handled by Google AdMob under its own policies.
11. Security
Data sent to Google services is encrypted in transit. Data stored on your device is protected by your device’s own security.
12. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if the app’s features change. Changes are posted on this page and take effect when posted.
13. Contact
For any question about this policy, contact the developer through the app’s Google Play Store listing.
